Hull City central defender and captain Curtis Davies has hailed the form of recent signing Mohamed Diame, who has been in the goals since joining from West Ham United, reports the Hull
Surplus to requirements at Upton Park after finding himself down the pecking order and being played out of position, Diame moved to Humberside and transfer deadline day. In the five Premier League games since, he has hit the net four times, including against his old club on his debut and on Saturday at Arsenal, who have been linked with a move for him in the past.
The Senegal international’s run has seen him become the highest scoring midfielder in the Premier League so far this season, and Davies has praised the impact he has made, saying: “Diame is quality. He has composure. I was expecting a hustle and bustle midfielder, who got about quickly. I thought the goals would come but four in five is ridiculous.
“Arsenal were meant to get him on two or three occasions. First when at Wigan and then again at West Ham. I don’t know too much about it but am glad he is with Hull.”
