The agent of Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj has said that his client is very determined to re-establish himself as a regular for the Old Trafford club, reports the Daily
The young Belgian emerged last season as an outstanding talent and went on to become one of the shining lights of David Moyes’ disappointing tenure as manager. His performances saw him become a key member of the squad, and he earned himself a contract worth £50,000 per week.
However, he has so far found things much more a struggle since Louis van Gaal took over as permanent successor to Moyes in the summer, with all of his six appearances under the experienced Ducthman coming as a substitute, partly due to the number of big-name attacking players he has brought in.
But according to his agent Dirk de Vries, Januzaj is still very hopeful of regaining his place in the side and challenging Juan Mata and Wayne Rooney for the role behind the main striker. He said: ‘We want to stay. Adnan wants to gain experience in England as No 10 – he doesn’t fear the competition.
‘Just like anyone else he wants to play but he will wait for his opportunity. He is a super professional and he is still motivated, even when he has to play for the Under 21s. We’re not angry.
‘We know the club is very happy with him and they want to keep Adnan for the rest of his career at Old Trafford. They believe in him, otherwise he wouldn’t be handed the No 11 of Ryan Giggs.’
