Goal-shy Burnley travel to the King Power Stadium to face Leicester City in the meeting of the two clubs promoted automatically from the Championship last season.
The Foxes were brought crashing back down to earth as they were somewhat comprehensively beaten by Crystal Palace last time out. It was a game in which they struggled to create chances, but boss Nigel Pearson will only see it as a minor setback after a start to the campaign which has upset the odds. The supporters will be expecting a win here, however, as they look to maintain an unbeaten home record.
The absence of dynamic striking duo Danny Ings and Sam Vokes is hitting Burnley hard in attack, and their goal drought – which has now gone beyond 600 minutes of football – is beginning to take a worrying look. The manner of the defeat to West Bromwich Albion also offered little cause for optimism, with the performance suggesting that survival this season will be a tough ask.
Leicester have a fully-fit squad available, with right-back Ritchie De Laet and midfielder Esteban Cambiasso both recovering from minor injuries.
Ings and Vokes are still out, and Burnley’s woes are extending to midfield, where Nathaniel Chalobah, Matt Taylor, David Jones and Dean Marney all missing.
