Hull City earned a draw against a Liverpool side ruing missed opportunities this afternoon, reports BBC
Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli was guilty of throwing away a host of chances to potentially earn his side all three points, and Hull City did their best to frustrate the Reds’ attacking players.
Dejan Lovren had a chance to put the home side ahead, but his head was cleared off the line by Hull’s Ahmed Elmohamady. Jake Livermore had a decent opportunity for the visitors, but his shot was straight at Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.
Mohamed Diame and Tom Huddlestone both had chances for Hull, but couldn’t find the back of the net, and that was the tone of the game. Balotelli will certainly feel he should have done better with the chances he had, but Hull held out for a well-earned draw.
