Liverpool emerging as front runners for unsettled Cabaye

Having expressed his frustrations at the current situation at Paris Saint Germain growing speculation has linked Liverpool with a move for Yohan Cabaye in January, according to the Metro.

Cabaye has seen his game time seriously decline this season and has only made three appearances so far for the French Champions – receiving a red card in one and the other two being from the bench.

He voiced his discontent with life in Paris this week and it has now emerged that despite on going interest from Arsenal it is Liverpool that will bid to bring him back to the Premier League.

Arsene Wenger saw a £10m bid rejected for the French playmaker last January before he sealed his switch to PSG but may not make a move for another midfielder – having rejected the chance to resign Cesc Fabregas in the summer, citing the reason that he was already well stocked in that area of the pitch.

This leaves the door open for Liverpool to make their move, who will represent the better chance of the first team football Cabaye craves.

However it is thought the Parisians would want £20m for his services and it remains to be seen whether Liverpool would want to spend that much.
