Manchester United winger Ashley Young has claimed that confidence is high at the club ahead of their upcoming fixtures against rivals and title hopefuls Chelsea and Manchester City, reports ManUtd.com.
On Monday evening, the Red Devils saw their winless away record continue with a 2-2 at West Bromwich Albion, with Marouane Fellaini and Daley Blind both scoring their first goal for the club in a game where the Baggies led twice.
But despite their current standing of sixth, Young insists the squad is confident that United can compete with the Premier League’s leading duo. He said: “You have to look at the positives. Obviously they (West Brom) went ahead when we were on top but we came out in the second half and got ourselves back into the game. We take the positives of the possession we had and the attempts at goal.
“We’ve got tough games coming up with Chelsea and [Manchester] City, but we still go into those games with confidence as high as it always is and we’ll be looking to get some points from those matches.”
