Luis Nani doesn’t know if he has a future at Manchester United, the winger focused instead on succeeding in his loan spell with Sporting Lisbon, ESPN
Nani lined up against Chelsea for Sporting in the Blues’ 1-0 Champions League win on Tuesday night and speaking after the match, admitted he was trying to make the most of his time away from Old Trafford.
“I don’t know [where my future lies],” he said. “At the moment, I just want to enjoy the football. I want to play, I want to be at my best, then let’s see what happens in the future. At the moment I am a Manchester United player.”
Nani has been at United since a 2007 move from Sporting, playing 228 times for the Premier League club, scoring 40 goals. His first Sporting spell included 11 goals in 76 appearances, while he has scored twice in six games upon his return to the Jose Alvalade stadium.
The 27-year-old also has 79 caps and 15 goals for Portugal and won four Premier League titles and the Champions League, among other trophies, in his time with United.
