Lukas Podolski wants an improvement to his situation at Arsenal and is getting impatient over being out of Arsene Wenger’s team, ESPN
Podolski has suggested he will look to leave the Gunners in January if he isn’t restored to the team in the very near future. “I can assess my situation, and it needs to change now – in the club,” he said. “Let’s see what happens now, and let’s see what happens in the winter. It’s clear that I am not happy right now.”
The Germany international has continued to be involved with the national team, featuring in the 1-1 draw with the Republic of Ireland earlier this week, but he was criticised for his performance. The World Cup winner has made only one start for his club this season, the Capital One Cup defeat to Southampton.
Podolski moved to the Emirates Stadium in the summer of 2012, leaving Koln, for whom he was in his second spell, with a period at Bayern Munich in between. The 29-year-old has made 74 appearances under Wenger, scoring 28 goals, but none since April.
