QPR owner Tony Fernandes says Harry Redknapp’s job is safe as manager

Following Queens Park Rangers’ 2-0 win against Aston Villa, owner Tony Fernandes has revealed manager Harry Redknapp is safe in his position, reports ESPN.

“I believe stability is the best way. If you look at the clubs who have succeeded, they have had consistency in managers. It’s up to Harry whether he wants to continue as well. Harry is my man. It is not in vogue to say that, but I stand by my manager,” he said.

Queens Park Rangers were enduring a tough Premier League campaign following their promotion from the Championship, but their recent victory – coming off the back of an impressive performance in the 3-2 defeat to Liverpool – has given evidence to believe Rangers can turn their form around.

The London side are still in the relegation zone, but a win in their next league game could see them out of the bottom-three.
