Queens Park Rangers will be eager to move off the foot of the Premier League as they host Aston Villa, who are in freefall following four straight defeats.
Inspired by the reintroduction of Bobby Zamora and his subsequently strong performance, Rangers produced a much-improved showing against Liverpool, but still found themselves losing despite levelling the game twice in a miraculous finale.
While they emerged from the game with credit, the fall-out has resulted in a war of words between manager Harry Redknapp and midfielder Adel Taarabt, suggesting that all is not well behind the scenes at Loftus Road. They will be desperate for this game to arrive, and a draw would be enough to see them move above Burnley.
Although they have come up against top opposition, it has been a worrying sequence of results for Aston Villa, who have now failed to find the back of the net for nearly five games. Last time out they were soundly beaten by Everton, with manager Paul Lambert admitting they were well below par.
Unlike last season in the Championship, the QPR has conceded plenty of goals this time around, so that could offer hope, but without the presence of Fabian Delph – out for the rest of the calendar year – they could find winning the midfield battle a major struggle.
Robert Green should return in goal for QPR after illness, but right-back Nedum Onuoha and midfielder Sandro are doubtful due to injury.
Aston Villa are waiting on the fitness of defender Philippe Senderos, who is suffering from a thigh problem. Christian Benteke will continue in attack.
