Swansea City and Leicester City have both suffered a dip in form in recent weeks, so will be aiming to put things right as they meet in Saturday’s late kick-off.
Of their five-match winless run, Swans boss Garry Monk will have been most frustrated at the loss at Stoke City last time out. Deservedly ahead going into the dying minutes of the first half, a controversial penalty award brought the Midlands side level and altered the momentum of the game. Monk had plenty to say afterwards, so will be hoping words with referees’ chief Mike Riley will lead to more favourable luck this time.
The visitors have been unable to kick on from their sensational dismantling of Manchester United’s defence on September 21. Instead, they have gone backwards, losing comfortable at Crystal Palace, conceding a late equaliser to struggling Burnley and going down 1-0 to a nervy Newcastle United side. It is by no means a time to panic, but recent form has seen them slip to just two points above the drop zone.
Leon Britton is still some way away from returning for Swansea, but Jordi Amat is hopeful of making a return while Jonjo Shelvey is back from suspension.
One again, Leicester’s only injury absentee is Matthew Upson, but Nigel Pearson could make changes as he looks to regain the winning formula.
