Tottenham interested in Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Christoph Kramer

According to the Metro, Tottenham are looking to bolster their midfield with Bayer Leverkusen’s Christoph Kramer.

Kramer, 23, is currently on loan with German Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach this season. He’s coming off the back of a World Cup win with Germany, and has made eight appearances in the league so far.

Tottenham have had problems in the midfield, with the Londoners lacking real quality in the engine room due to the inconsistent form of the likes of Mousa Dembele, Paulinho, Etienne Capoue and Nabil Bentaleb.

Kramer is highly-rated in Germany, has had been on loan with Monchengladbach for the last year. He’s a strong defensive midfielder who would provide protection for Tottenham’s leaky defence. Spurs are said to have scouted him a number of times, so they could well make their interest official when the transfer window opens.
