According to the Telegraph,
Rodriguez, 25, has been out of action with a cruciate injury suffered in spring time last season, but Tottenham have been keen on his services ever since former Saints manager Mauricio Pochettino made the move to White Hart Lane.
Scoring 15 goals in 33 Premier League for Southampton last season, Jay Rodriguez was one of England’s most prolific forwards, and looked on course to represent his country in this summer’s World Cup, while earning himself a big move to an elite Premier League side.
With Southampton having previously been keen on Tottenham’s Andros Townsend, a swap could happen between the two players, as Rodriguez will be in the last year of his deal at the end of the current campaign, so the Saints will want to cash in on him if he isn’t looking to stay.
