Tottenham’s Kyle Naughton returns from injury ahead of Capital One Cup clash

After recovering from injury, Tottenham defender Kyle Naughton could feature in Spurs’ Capital One Cup clash against Brighton tonight, reports BBC Sport.

The young full-back has been out of action with an ankle injury, but is likely to feature in the team, with manager Mauricio Pochettino set to ring the changes. It is expected to be a more youthful looking side to face their Championship opponents, and Naughton’s return will be a big boost to an out-of-form Tottenham side.

Naughton, 25, has missed Spurs’ last two Premier League games, and has only made three league appearances this season. Pochettino will want him to get his match fitness back, so he’s look to give him as many minutes as possible. He’s been a mainstay in the Europa League when free of injury, and did play in Tottenham’s Capital One Cup third round clash against Nottingham Forest.
