Arsenal and Liverpool battling it out over Lazio striker Keita Balde Diao

According to the Express, Liverpool and Arsenal are looking to bolster their attacking options, and Lazio striker Keita Balde Diao is said to be one of their targets.

Reports suggested Liverpool were scouting the 19-year-old last season, with manager Brendan Rodgers desperate for attacking options. Arsenal have also been linked with his services too, with German forward Lukas Podolski hinting at a January exit due to a lack of playing time this season.

Diao scored five goals in 14 Serie A starts for Lazio in 2013/14, and has been regarded as a hot prospect in the future. He’s ideal for use with a strike-partner too, with the 19-year-old having created 25 chances, while boasting an 82% pass competition last season.

His value is unknown, but Lazio aren’t likely to let him leave for cheap given the promise he’s shown in Italy.
