Tottenham striker Harry Kane got himself on the score sheet again as the Londoners earned all three points against to Asteras Tripolis in the Europa League, reports BBC
Tottenham took the lead in the 36th minute through Andros Townsend. The Spurs winger, who recently was selected for the England national team, scored a penalty, awarded to the visitors for a foul by Khalifa Papa Sankare on the 23-year-old.
The away side doubled their lead minutes later through the in-form Harry Kane. The England U21 international, starting in attack for Spurs, scored his seventh goals in the Europa League, following on from bagging the winning goal in Tottenham’s Premier League win against Aston Villa.
Asteras were dominant in the second-half, but couldn’t find a goal until the dying moments of the match. Tottenham defender Federico Fazio gave away a penalty, which he was also sent off for, and Jeronimo Barrales made no mistake with the subsequent spot-kick.
The win for Tottenham sees them on the brink of qualification into the next round.
