Tottenham striker Harry Kane continued his fine form, scoring from a free-kick in the dying minutes against Aston Villa to earn his side a fortunate three points, reports BBC
Aston Villa took a deserved lead in the 16th minute of the game through Andreas Weimann. The Austrian forward steered home a cross from Charles N’Zogbia, and the hosts held their lead until the break.
But the game turned on its head in the second-half after Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke was sent off for slapping Tottenham’s Ryan Mason in the face. Spurs came back into the game, and capitalised on poor defending from a corner to level the match late on through Nacer Chadli.
Harry Kane was brought off the bench in the second-half, and his introduction saw Tottenham push for a winner. The England striker scored from a free-kick, which deflected past Villa keeper Brad Guzan, meant the Londoners ran out with all three points.
