Burnley forward Ashley Barnes scored a second-half winner to earn the Clarets their first league win of the season, reports BBC
Burnley were on top in the first-half, but couldn’t make their dominance count. With home advantage, there was a sense of expectation for the newly-promoted outfit to get a result, and the nervousness was clear to see on the pitch.
Sean Dyche’s side enjoyed the better of the exchanges, and they finally made their pressure count minutes into the second-half. Ashley Barnes scored the decisive goal, and the home side held out to earn all three points.
The result means Burnley’s winless run in the Premier League has come to an end, while Hull find themselves just two points above the drop zone.
