Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho won’t name weakened eleven for tonight’s clash against Maribor

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has said he will pick his strongest available side for tonight’s Champions League meeting against Maribor, reports BBC Sport.

With Liverpool to play at Anfield on the weekend, the Blues boss may rest a selection of players for a side Chelsea beat 6-0 in their meeting a fortnight ago, but Mourinho revealed that’s not in his repertoire.

“If Liverpool decide to rest players when they play against the European champions it’s a question for the Liverpool manager, it’s not a question for me. Normally, against the most difficult opponents, normally I will try to go with my best team. I know Maribor are a good team. I analysed them against Sporting and Schalke,” said Mourinho.

Chelsea have decisions to make regarding who they will have spearheading their attack tonight, as top scorer Diego Costa is fit to play, but has a tricky weekend clash away to Liverpool that Mourinho will want him fully fit for. It could see Didier Drogba starting ahead of the Spaniard as a result.
