Chelsea attacking midfielder Oscar has praised the impact that teammate Cesc Fabregas has made since joining from Barcelona in the summer, Goal.com
After three years back in his native Spain, former Arsenal captain Fabregas returned to the Premier League in June and has made an instant impression, claiming nine assists already this season as well as scoring goals against Crystal Palace and Schalke 04 in the Champions League.
On Saturday, he set up Oscar to open the scoring with a terrific finish in his side’s 2-1 victory over West London neighbours Queens Park Rangers; a result which maintained their four point lead at the top of the Premier League table after 10 games.
And rather than admire his sweet strike past R’s goalkeeper Robert Green, Brazil international Oscar has hailed the contribution of Fabregas, saying: “Cesc gave a beautiful pass to me. It was perfect for shooting and when the ball came I decided now, I need to shoot.
“But Cesc helps the team so much and not just with the assists. In a game, he helps everyone, with beautiful passes like the one for me in this game. He has come in this year and played so well and I like playing together with him. Last year the team was strong but this year the team plays so well and plays every game to win, and this is important for us.”
