Vlad Chiriches has revealed he is unhappy with his situation at Tottenham Hotspur after falling out of favour under Mauricio Pochettino, Sky
Chiriches signed for Spurs in the summer of 2013 in a £7m move from Steaua Bucharest but has made only 27 appearances in his season-and-a-half at White Hart Lane. The 25-year-old has played three times for Tottenham this season but not once since early October and a move to Italy has been mooted for the winter transfer window.
“I don’t know anything about the links but right now I can’t say that I am very happy at the club because I am not in the team,” Chiriches said. “It’s hard for me but I think I can improve my game and I can play.”
Chiriches has 28 caps for Romania, having made his debut for the national team in a Euro 2012 qualifier against Luxembourg. He has regularly captained his country and is in the squad for Euro 2016 qualification games against Northern Ireland and Denmark.
Pochettino has preferred combinations of Jan Vertonghen, Younes Kaboul and Federico Fazio, with Tottenham lying 12th in the Premier League table.
