Crystal Palace 3-1 Liverpool: Eagles come from behind to take all three points at Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace fell behind early against Liverpool, but found their way back with goals from Dwight Gayle, Joe Ledley and Miles Jedinak, reports BBC Sport.

Liverpool took the lead minutes into the game through Rickie Lambert. The England international latched onto an aerial ball from Adam Lallana, finishing past Julian Speroni with ease.

But Crystal Palace fought back well, with Dwight Gayle equalising in the 17th minute. The young striker tucked away Yannick Bolasie’s effort, which hit the post.

The first-half finished level, but the Eagles were providing a real threat on the break that Liverpool could not get to grips with.

In the second-half, Liverpool were enjoying all the ball, but created little clear-cut opportunities. Crystal Palace made them pay for their profligacy with Joe Ledley finishing off a quick-flowing move to put the Eagles into the lead.

Mile Jedinak made it with a glorious free-kick to seal the victory for Palace, confining Liverpool to their second consecutive defeat.
