Divock Origi would cut loan spell short to join Liverpool early

According to Sky Sports, Liverpool striker Divick Origi would consider cutting his loan spell with Lille short in January to join up with the Reds ahead of schedule.

The Belgian international was signed by Liverpool this summer after impressing in the 2014 World Cup, but as part of the agreement he was loaned back to his former side Lille. However, Origi has recently revealed he would be open to a move in January if Lille allowed Liverpool to come in for him early.

“It is not me who makes the decisions but if the club choose to let me go in January, I would join Liverpool,” he said.

The 19-year-old has scored three goals in eight Ligue 1 starts this season, and could prove to be useful in the fledgling Liverpool attack.
