Goals from Romelu Lukaku and Leon Osman sealed the victory for Roberto Martinez’s side, who finished the evening level with Arsenal in the table, reports BBC
Lukaku opened the scoring in the 26th minute, tucking away Ross Barkley’s rebounded effort to give Everton the lead. It was a tempestuous affair at Goodison Park, with the referee at times struggles to maintain control of the game.
Everton held onto their lead until the break, but the second-half saw a West Ham revival. The visitors found an equaliser through Mauro Zarate. The Argentine striker was deflected in before the hour mark and stunned the hosts.
But Leon Osman popped up with a good on his 400th Everton appearance to ensure the Blues went home with all three points.
