Everton’s Roberto Martinez praises weekend opponents West Ham for their bright start to the season

Everton manager Roberto Martinez credits West Ham manager Sam Allardyce for their upturn in form this season, with the two sides meeting in the Premier League this weekend, reports BBC Sport.

“West Ham have been the most consistent team in the Premier League and it wasn’t by accident. The way they play is very brave – they’ve a lot of attackers. It’ll be one of our the biggest challenges. We have eight teams looking for Europe. West Ham are one of the big challengers for those places without a doubt,” he said.

The Hammers are currently fourth in the Premier League, with 18 points from 11 games. They have already beaten the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City this season, and have picked up 11 points from five games ahead of their meeting against Everton.
