Joe Hart to be rested for England’s clash against Scotland

According to Sky Sports, Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart will be rested for England’s friendly against Scotland next week.

England manager Roy Hodgson revealed he would be making a host of changes to the starting lineup to face Scotland, one of which would be goalkeeper Joe Hart.

“I have still got the other two goalkeepers (West Brom’s Ben Foster & Southampton’s Fraser Forster) and they will come with us up to Scotland and one of those will play – Joe will go home”

Joe Hart has been number one choice for both Manchester City and England for many years, so his place isn‘t currently up for grabs. But with the Three Lions boasting talented in-form goalkeepers such as Ben Foster and Fraser Forster, Hodgson wants to test out his options.

Forster, who has racked up the most clean sheets in the Premier League this season, and is expected to start against Scotland at a ground where he used to play – Celtic Park.
