Joel Campbell seeking Arsenal exit in the summer

According to ESPN, Arsenal forward Joel Campbell wants to leave the Londoners in January due to a lack of playing time afforded to him.

The Costa Rica international spent last season with Olympiakos on loan, and greatly impressed during his time in Greece. He was promoted to the first-team as a result of his good performances, but has barely been used by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger this campaign.

Campbell, 22, has only played 39 minutes of Premier League football this season. The South American has been afforded only cameo appearances from the bench for the Gunners, and is seeking first-team football.

There won’t be a shortage of sides interested in his services when the January transfer window opens, so he’s expecting to be leaving either on a temporary or permanent deal in the coming months.
