Leicester City defender Ritchie De Laet signs new long-term deal

According to BBC Sport, Leicester City right-back Ritchie De Laet has signed a new deal with the club, keeping him at the King Power stadium until 2018.

The 25-year-old joined City from Manchester United in 2012, and has since made over 90 appearances for the Midlands outfit. He’s featured 11 times this season on his return to the Premier League, and revealed he owes the club for having gambled on him two years ago.

“Leicester took a risk with me at the start when they brought me here without a lot of experience and they stuck with me, so now I’m doing the same thing with them. It’s been nearly the same group since I’ve been here. Most have signed new contracts to stay with Leicester, so we’re a group that are tied together and we’ll fight together to stay in the Premier League,” he said.
