Lille’s Simon Kjaer rules out Premier League move in near future

Despite publications linking him to a number of sides in England, Lille defender Simon Kjaer has ruled out a move to the Premier League, reports FourFourTwo.

“The Premier League is always an interesting place to play your football, and in the past I have considered moving there a few times. Everything would have to be just perfect to realise a move to England. I wouldn’t be moving there just for a bigger pay check for example. Otherwise I am completely happy where I am,” he said.

The Danish international has been linked with the likes of Tottenham, Liverpool in the last 18 months, but appears comfortable in France for the time being. Kjaer is highly regarded in Europe, and certainly has age on his side before looking to make the move to England.
