Liverpool looking to recall Divick Origi following Sturridge injury setback

According to the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool are looking to recall Lille striker Divick Origi from his loan spell in France as Daniel Sturridge as been ruled out of action for another six weeks.

Liverpool have Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini as their available strikers currently, but the trio haven’t managed a Premier League goal between them this season. The Reds were hoping to have Sturridge back from injury, but a recent setback now rules him out until 2015.

As a result, Liverpool are looking to recall Divick Origi from Lille. He signed from Lille to Liverpool in the summer, but was loaned back to France as a clause in the deal.

“We believe Divock Origi will be world class. He has everything: the speed, the profile and he could play for Liverpool now,” said Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers.
