After seeing his side lost 3-1 away to Crystal Palace this afternoon, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says he “takes full responsibility” for the team’s failings this season, reports BBC
“We are very disappointed with the performance and the result, and as the manager it is something I need to take full responsibility for. This is the worst run my team has been on and the only way out is working together. We have to improve and very, very quickly because the games come thick and fast,” he said.
Liverpool found themselves 1-0 against the Eagles after just a matter of minutes, but Crystal Palace scored three goals to turn the game on its head and to stun the Reds at Selhurst Park again. Liverpool have now lost consecutive league games, while finding themselves 18 points behind league leaders Chelsea, which puts Rodgers’ job on the line too.
