Liverpool medical team to investigate the cause of Daniel Sturridge’s recurring injury woes

According to Sky Sports, Liverpool are investigation the cause of Daniel Sturridge recurring injury, with the England international having recently suffered another setback on his return.

“We reckon it’s his ninth injury on the same thing from previous clubs here and there, so there seems to be an underlying issue somewhere. Our medical team are looking into it, the latest scans show a slight tear just below where he had a previous injury,” said Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers.

Sturridge, 25, suffered a thigh injury recently when it had appeared he was close to coming back to full fitness with Liverpool, which was the same injury he picked up for England. Rogers was previously critical of the national team, suggesting they played their part in his injury woes, but with Sturridge having suffered yet another setback at the club, Liverpool seek answers.
