Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge returns to training

According to Sky Sports, Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has return to training, after overcoming his groin injury.

The England international, 25, has been out of action for around three months, but could now be fit to play for the Reds after the international break.

His return will be a big boost for Liverpool, as they’ve struggled with the form of strikers Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert, and Fabio Borini. Daniel Sturridge scored 21 goals for the Reds last season as they finished runners-up in the Premier League.

Brendan Rodgers’ side are currently 15 points off league leaders Chelsea, while having scored seven less than this time last season, so it’s clear Sturridge has been missed.
