The Argentine has been the Premier League champions’ standout player this season as they have occasionally stuttered domestically and found the going tough in Europe. He has hit 17 goals already in all competitions, including a crucial hat-trick in the Champions League against Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

“He has many years more to play here. I am always asking and demanding that he tries to be the best player because he has all the conditions to do that.
