Manchester City to sign Juventus’ Paul Pogba to replace under-performing Yaya Toure

According to the Times, Manchester City are looking to sell Yaya Toure, bringing in Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba to replace the under-fire Ivorian.

After another poor Champions League performance that not only saw Manchester City’s hopes of progressing on the brink, but Yaya Toure getting a straight red card for violent conduct, manager Manuel Pellegrini looks set to make some changes.

Toure, 31, has been below par this season, and was embroiled in a public fallout with the Sky Blues in the summer after perceived disrespect in regard to how they honoured his birthday celebrations. The former Barcelona midfielder looked set to join French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain during the fallout, but committed his future to City instead.

However, it’s likely both parties would be happy to see the midfielder going to France if it meant bringing Pogba in from Juventus.
