Manchester United eyeing up AS Monaco defender Layvin Kurzawa

According to talkSPORT, Manchester United are weighing up making a bid for AS Monaco left-back Layvin Kurzawa in January.

The 22-year-old, who is a French international, has been a regular in the backline this season for the Ligue 1 outfit, which has subsequently seen him attracting attention. Kurzawa has long been an admirer of United, saying: “The club of my dreams? Manchester United. It is one of my goals to play there one day.”

And with the Red Devils enduring an injury crisis this season, manager Louis Van Gaal is looking to strengthen his backline. Manchester United only have Luke Shaw as their option at left-back, and the England international suffered injury recently that saw winger Ashley Young covering in his absence.

Having Kurzawa as another option would ensure United have cover for the former Southampton defender.
