According to the Telegraph,
The 26-year-old has been considered surplus to requirements under new manager Louis Van Gaal, but has been on the periphery for the last three seasons. Poor form and a previous weight gain have all seen Anderson’s stock dwindle at the club, and a loan spell with Serie A side Fiorentina failed to see him earn a permanent move last summer.
United are reportedly willing to pay £1.4M to offload the Brazilian midfielder, who they had paid £26M for from Porto back in 2007, just to have him off their books and better his chances of finding a new club.
Anderson has only made five Premier League appearances since the start of the 2013/14 season, and is behind the likes of Michael Carrick, Darren Fletcher, Marouane Fellaini, Daley Blind and Ander Herrera in the midfield.
