Manchester United’s Radamel Falcao undergoing fitness programme

According to the Telegraph, Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao is undergoing an intensive fitness programme, with the Colombian having suffered a host of injuries in the last 18 months.

The 28-year-old picked up an anterior cruciate knee ligament injury in January for parent club AS Monaco, but was recently seen icing the same knee after a game for loan side Manchester United. Rumours then emerged that the striker had a long-term issue with his knee, but it’s something Falcao has continued to refute.

He was left out of the Colombia national team for their two friendlies against the United States and Slovenia, and wants to use the time to get himself back into shape where he will last a long run of games without picking up any injuries.

Signed on a season-long loan from Ligue 1 runners-up AS Monaco, Falcao has made five Premier League appearances, scoring one goal.
