Manchester United winger Nani is hoping his fine form while on loan with Sporting will earn him a recall for the Red Devils, reports Sky
The 27-year-old Portuguese international was sent to former side Sporting Lisbon on loan this season, as Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal deemed his surplus to requirements with the Premier League strugglers.
Nani is hoping scoring five goals in 13 games in all competitions with the Portuguese Liga side could well get him back in the reckoning with United.
“If they ask for my return it is because they recognise that I’m doing well and that I could be an asset to the club at the moment,” he said.
His deal will keep him in Portugal for the duration of the campaign, but United have the option to end his loan spell short if they are convinced he can be an asset for them this season.
