Southampton’s Nathaniel Clyne relishing playing the Premier League’s elite in the coming weeks

Southampton defender Nathaniel Clyne insist he and the squad are “buzzing” to face the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United in the coming weeks, reports BBC Sport.

Southampton are currently second in the table, with the South coast outfit having won eight of their 12 games so far this season. However, they have fallen short against Tottenham and Liverpool, which has drawn questions about whether they can beat the big boys when they ensure a tough run of games. However, Clyne relishes the chance.

“We’re buzzing for it. There are some big games coming up thick and fast and we have to be mentally prepared. We’re going into those games confident. We are underdogs but want to show how good we are,” he said.
