Spurs enter race for Croatian starlet

As Tottenham Hotspur look to solve their problematic frontline they have identified Croatian star Andrej Kramaric as a potential target, according to the Daily Star.

The 23-year-old is one of the most inform strikers in Europe this season – so far bagging 26 goals in 20 games including a 13 minute Europa League hat trick against Feyenoord for club HNK Rijeka.

Italian duo AC and Inter Milan have been credited with the strongest interest after the player’s father was in Italy to hold talks with the pair, but he has confirmed interest has now come from the Premier League.

Kramaric has also impressed for his country, scoring in his first two competitive appearances for Croatia.

The striker is out of contract next summer and although the club has the option of extending his current deal, clubs could pick the impressive Croatian for less than £4m – representing a potential bargain.

He can also operate behind a striker and out wide to provide versatility for his side.

Spurs duo Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado have struggled to provide the goals needed for their Champions League hopes this season, while club top scorer Harry Kane has notched most of his goals in the Europa League.
