Stoke City summer signing Bojan scored a brilliant individual effort as the Potters earned an impressive win over Tottenham at White Hart Lane, reports BBC Sport.
Stoke City took just six minutes to take the lead against the Londoners, with Spanish forward Bojan setting the away section into a frenzy.
The ex-Barcelona man picked up the ball on the halfway line from the left-hand side, cut inside with the ball and made a beeline for the defence. No Tottenham player closed him down, and he struck a low effort into the bottom, giving Hugo Lloris no chance.
Just after half an hour, Jonathan Walters finished off a move to double Stoke City’s advantage. They held their two-goal lead at the break, and in the second-half still remained comfortable.
Tottenham did find a consolation goal from the typically deadly Nacer Chadli, but it wasn’t enough and Stoke ran away as deserved winners.
