Tottenham’s Kyle Walker back in training after lengthy layout

Tottenham defender has revealed his delight to be back for Spurs after spending 8 months out with an abdominal injury, reports ITV Football.

“It’s great to be back out there with the lads. I’m taking it one step at a time, doing things correctly as I’ve been told and I’ll see where I am in a couple of weeks. I think I’ve matured as a player and a person and hopefully that will take me onto the next step in my career. Hopefully it won’t be too long before I’m back out there at White Hart Lane,” he said.

The 24-year-old’s last game for Tottenham came against Benfica in the Europa League last-16 back in March. He subsequently missed the 2014 World Cup, and all of Tottenham’s season so far in 2014/15. The Londoners have had a poor start to the new campaign in his absence too, so his return couldn’t be better timed to inject some life into the team.
