West Brom’s Saido Berahino arrested for drink-driving

According to BBC News, West Brom striker Saido Berahino has been arrested for a drink-driving charge relating to the 22nd of October.

The 21-year-old, who was recently called up to the England national team, was said to have been driving at high speeds around the M6 on the 22nd of October in the late hours. He was stopped on the junction at the time and will now be questioned following the incident.

The news comes after he failed to make his England debut in a recently Euro 2016 qualifier and international friendly, and isn’t likely to impress manager Roy Hodgson who called him up to the senior team.

Berahino has been having a standout campaign for the Baggies, scoring 7 goals in 12 league games, but this latest setback is a black mark on what had been a dream season so far.
