Aston Villa have their goalkeeper Brad Guzan to thank for them picking up a point against West Ham, with the Midlands outfit surviving a late barrage, reports BBC
West Ham started strongly against the Villans, and came close to scoring just minutes into the game through James Collins and Alex Song. Aston villa struggled in the early stages, but eventually did settle, and even had a goalscoring opportunity through Gabriel Agbonlahor, but the long-serving forward skied his effort over the bar.
In the second-half, Aston Villa started to enjoy more possession, but couldn’t create any real gilt-edged chances to break the deadlock. The hosts finished the game very strongly, with substitute Andy Carroll having two headers saved by Guzan to keep the Villans level.
