West Ham manager Sam Allardyce admits players are frustrated with stiff competition for places

As reported by London 24, West Ham manager Sam Allardyce has revealed a number of his players are getting frustrated with a lack of playing time due to the competition for places.

“Because of the strength-in-depth of the squad (players) have found it difficult to break their way into the side. A few of the players are extremely frustrated. But because the other players have done so well, it has been difficult for me to put (the regulars) back in based on our performances and results,” he said.

West Ham have enjoyed a fantastic start to the new season, with the Londoners sitting in a lofty fifth place in the Premier League, and the performances of the majority of players does mean they aren’t likely to be dropped any time soon.
