Lukaku scored minutes before half-time, with the Belgian striker powering his way through the Wolfsburg defence to finish well after finding himself one-on-one with Diego Benaglio in the Wolfsburg goal.
After the break, Kevin Mirallas doubled Everton’s lead in the 75th minute of the game, with Belgian compatriots Lukaku and Mirallas linking up on the counter to devastating effect.
The win puts Roberto Martinez’s side in the last-32 of the Europa League with one group game still to play. They will be full of confidence given their profession and convincing performance on Thursday night.
