Alan Hutton hopes Aston Villa’s form relieves pressure of manager Paul Lambert

Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton is hoping that the side’s recent rise back up the table will mean manager Paul Lambert is safe in his position, reports Sky Sports.

Aston Villa are unbeaten in their last five Premier League games, and have won back-to-back league games against Crystal Palace and Leicester City. They are climbing up the table, which strengthens manager Paul Lambert’s position with the club, hoes the in-form right-back.

“I hope it has eased the pressure on him – we’ve got a lot of hard games out of the way. I don’t see why we can’t push up a few more places in the league. We’re are five unbeaten now and we want to keep getting better and better,” said the Scotland international.
