Arsenal invite former player Gilberto to join the club in coaching capacity

According to ESPN, Arsenal have invited former midfielder Gilberto Silva to joined the club’s coaching staff, and the Brazilian is said to be considering the offer.

A regular in the midfield of the “Invincibles” Arsenal team that went the entire Premier League season unbeaten in 2003/04, Gilberto would be keen on renewing acquaintances with the London club when his playing career is officially at an end.

“I have had an invitation, yes. Anything is possible. It makes me happy when you have these invitations, and it makes me want to learn from others, seek knowledge and develop my own style. I spent six years at Arsenal, which was a great place to learn. I have it as a reference point and a football model,” said the 38-year-old.
