Aston Villa once again finished the game with 10-men, but earned another draw on home soil, this time against Sunderland, reports BBC
The first-half had few chances of real quality, but Aston Villa striker Andreas Weimann will feel he should have put the home side ahead, but he opted to beat a defender instead of looking to get a shot away fro close range.
After the break, Villa went down to 10 men, with Fabian Delph given a straight red card for a late tackle. The man advantage saw Sunderland push for a winner. The visitor’s best chances were at a premium, but they rattled the woodwork late on in the game, and had chances from Steven Fletcher and Connor Wickham that weren’t taken.
